LIFE EVENTS
Life events are some of the most meaningful milestones in the Christian journey. Moments such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals mark significant transitions in our lives, and the Church offers special services that honour, celebrate, and support us through these times of change. This page provides guidance and information to help you explore these important occasions and the ways the Church can walk with you through each one.
Baptism is a sacrament which marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives, the first step in response to God’s love. For all involved, particularly the candidates but also parents, godparents and sponsors, it is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ, making serious promises and declaring the faith.
If you would like to find out more about baptism, either for yourself or a child please contact your local church.
Each Anglican church has its own policy regarding baptisms and weddings, and you may be asked to attend a preparation course or attend worship regularly for a specified period before a baptism can take place.
Are you considering getting married at one of our Ardwick Mission Community locations? We recommend that you first have a look at the Church of England website to answer any initial questions you may have.
Please then contact your local church and we will be in touch with you soon.
